both ben and i come from families who enjoyed going up and cutting christmas trees down as a holiday tradition. so far, we have kept the tradition alive with our own family, but this year was different. we all went together and stayed in a "cabin" in the tamarak ski resort by mccall, that is, if you could call it a cabin. this was one perk that i do have to thank the deruyter family for...in being so generous to let us stay there for a nite. (they are our main customers and loren manages all their farm ground and commodity inventory). so, with that being said, we had a dandy of a time hanging out in the mansion, having chili and cornbread, fhe, a walk in the woods, and finding a few 'perfect' trees up on the forest. we also took a dip in the hot tub without the kids and jenny brought the biggest loser workout...which proved i am one, old woman these days! all was great until the ride home...our family ended up pulling the trailer and pulling over a couple of times to do a lash up job with baling twine on the trees (see, we really are redneck, no matter how nice the lodging :), and we listened to bridon cry almost the entire way home until we both had gone so crazy...well, we won't go into details, but it was bad! wish us luck on getting it put up tonite for fhe!

That tree is huge! Where are you going to put it? It took me over two hours last night just to put my tree up and the lights on it, and it's small! Ugh. I love how Bentley is sitting and watching all you girls work out in the one photo. He cracks me up!
Great pictures! I was going to say the same thing! That is one BIG tree! Do you have enough ornaments? :) What a fun trip!
Hey, I wanted to cut down a tree this year, the man wouldn't let me though. Yours looks like a good one. You've been really busy.
I guess I'll let you babysit my girls next Wednesday for my doctors appointment, if you really want to. I'll talk to you about it at church tomorrow.
Too much fun on your blog. Especially the sweet work-out!!
