A Week of Festivities

last week began a week-long reunion of sorts for ben's immediate family! it's the same in my family - those sweet camping, fishing, waterskiing family outings just can't exist during the summer- so it was great that spencer came home the nite before thanksgiving, it happened to be winter, and everyone was able to travel home! we spent the week cutting down christmas trees in mccall, going to the airport, having thanksgiving, doing a family sealing session, a bit of black friday shopping, meals hosted by different families (we made meatballs at our house!), games, volleyball, g & g taking the kids for a swim at givens hot springs, celebrating birthdays, family pictures, cleaning the church, and a sunday of homecoming and baby blessing. phew!! i don't know if we will be able to get back to normal!!! but we had a good time. the older i get, the more i realize how crazy it is to have so many personalities jumbled together to make a family! i admire those who are always so kind and giving and willing to overlook weaknesses...i hope to work on these attributes! AND welcome home spencer! spencer has all ready spent the nite in our basement for old times' sake; it's lots of fun to have him around again!
