They Bloomed!

the purple flowers growing up the railroad ties are sweet peas that i planted last year. they never came up, but i didn't give up on watering them...now look! the seeds are from my grandma's yard, so every time i see them, they remind me of her...

I was out to Park Valley yesterday. Mom and Dad's yard is burning up because of the drought. Dad tries to water it a little each day but not enough water and too hot of temperatures. It makes me sad to see it burn... anyway, the bright spot is the Sweet peas. They grow in spite of the drought and the bright pink and purple blossoms add a little hope and beauty that is needed each day. Mom would be happy to know that the roses and sweet peas are surviving. I'm glad you were able to get your seeds to grow!

What pretty flowers and what cute babies! I am leaving for Idaho any minute now and I can't wait. That's great that you have grown all that produce. I should start a garden on my patio but I'm afraid it would burn up.
