tuesday morning i woke up to sirens screaming down riverside at 6:45. to my alarm, they slowed down at the corner and ben was gone, so i thought for sure some disaster had struck. sure enough, i could see smoke and there was the crop duster that was flying on fertilizer on the llc (loren's field across the road from our house) crashed in dennis floyd's field on lewis. unbelievable! it was quite the morning with tv crews, ambulances, fire trucks, and then a convoy of idaho power trucks! the pilot couldn't remember what happened until later that nite. apparently, he decided to go UNDER the power lines and at the last minute, noticed a pickup coming down lewis...so, he pulled up into the lines. these lines are the main feed for this area and marsing, so the wires are huge. the razor on the tail did not make a clean cut, so there you have it. it was like dominos...it snapped power polls and lines for a mile. and the most amazing thing, the guy did not have a broken bone, just ended up with a gash in his leg! we finally got power that nite at about 9 after we ate out down in marsing at the mexican restaraunt (not recommended) and showered the family at brad and jill's. the one time i have to give cheers to idaho power...they get paid enough! sorry the pictures aren't very good, i couldn't get very close to the scene...my house was close enough!!

Hey, that's pretty exciting. Bummer I didn't get to see you in Idaho, but wasn't the temple beautiful? I love the painting of the falls. Good luck with the binki. See you at Christmastime...maybe.
Hey Maria! I have a request to be invited to your blog from Mariann. Her email is inkerdoodle123@yahoo.com. I know we are all desperate to see what you are doing!
Oh my gosh Maria! You had me laughing out loud with all the memories you listed. I do not remember going to CAL ranch during Sunday School but I do remember buying lottery tickets for Jared Harper during Sunday School. The credit card cutting - that was hilarious! Remember making a joint Valentine's Day box? And you were sick on the bus and everyone thought you were faking and then you threw up and your parents made you clean it up. Remember when you came to stay with me at BYU that one time? I've been thinking about that one, I appreciated you coming to visit me! You are an awesome friend! Thanks for the good times.
