Flu bug

our sunday turned into washing day around this place (and ben and i on shifts for his meetings and church)...4 loads later bentley still looks white as a ghost and won't eat. there is definitely something wrong with the child! it all started last nite after ben and i volunteered to serve at the high priest stake social. we came home, put him to bed, and at around 9:45 he was up screaming, and when i went into his room he was on his bed saying "mess...mess" poor, little guy! three baths later and then 5 throw-up sessions later it was morning. i have never let anyone throw up on me before. it was a new experience. i guess i am a seasoned mommy now because it really didn't bother me. it was a lot of red, licorice from his babysitters:) if you want to know the details. hopefully he'll get feeling well soon and the rest of us won't get it!

this weekend was grandma's funeral. it was such a good service and so great to be surrounded by family and all the friends and folks of the valley there. i gave a tribute as my part on the program...bentley made it half way thru. my little cousins were such lifesavers playing with him and keeping him entertained...it seemed like a very, long day! the hardest part was seeing my grandpa miss grandma so much. he was sad and heartbroken it seemed. i hope i can do things that will support him and let him know that we really care about him! i feel so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel and know that we will all be reunited again and that grandma is happy! it was a very peaceful experience.

i am done traveling though, until this summer that's for sure! three long trips, three weekends in a row left me restless! we did take a break at my parent's on the way down and also stopped at sam and julie's on the way home to have dinner and let bentley play...thanks a bunch! yesterday ben got the garden all ready, so i went and dug up strawberry plants from aunt kayleen and got them in. tomorrow will be beets, spinach, and lettuce if the weather and my HUGE, belly cooperate. happy gardening!
